Museum of Carpathian German Culture was formed in the Slovak National Museum since 1994. In 1997 it became independent and acts as a museum dedicated nationwide. His work focuses on collecting, gathering and documenting information about the Carpathian German national minority in our country. Museum of Carpathian Germans in line with its fund engaged in scientific and research activities. The results of its activities published in their journals (Acta Edition germanica Carpatho-released 14 volumes so far).
The museum is located library specializing in issues of history and culture of the Carpathian Germans. It is undoubtedly the best library of focus in Slovakia and it is often used by students and professionals.
Since the museum is the only professional workplace Carpathian Germans at all, it also serves a wider role than purely museum. It is a kind of focal point for the Carpathian Germans coming to Slovakia.
